Executive Director

Thivash is an aeronautical engineer and founder of Drivio. He is passionate about the latest technology and believes that learning should be fun - especially when you are learning how to drive. His vision for driver instruction is a fun, interactive, and stress-free experience which is why he combined his knowledge of aeronautical simulators with driver training to create the Drivio experience.

Thivash wants to make driver instruction simple and achievable for all and believes that learning by means of simulation gives you the necessary confidence and edge that you need before you take on the streets.

Michael-John Basson

Instructor

Michael is a Grade B Driving Instructor. He is an outgoing person down to earth and very straight forward. Michael believes his duty at Drivio is to achieve safe and legal future drivers. He would like to one day see Drivio being spoken of throughout the world.

Michael has gone very far within Drivio and after his very first promotion he decided that Drivio is the only company for him and loves being part of the family!

Macdonald Williams

Instructor Manager

Macdonald has 10 years' experience in in driver training and started instructing in Cape Town. He takes his position very seriously and believes that if everyone works toward one goal they will achieve success. He holds all the driver codes and has extensive knowledge and skills in learners licence training, road-safety awareness, defensive driving, and correct implementation of K53.

Macdonald is a strong instructor and leads the instructor team in excellent training and support.

Wouter Roos

Simulator Designer

Wouter has an MSc degree in Aerospace Engineering, specialising in simulation and control. He lives for technology and is incredibly proud to be involved with the technological innovations at Drivio. He is infatuated with technology and gets the same joy from setting up the printer as he gets from building simulators.

Wouter has been building and developing simulators for the past 5 years and is constantly on the lookout for new technology that can influence his work at Drivio.

Bernice Rosslee

Financial Accountant

Bernice has a BTech degree in Financial Information Systems from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. She loves numbers and technology and believes that it can change the way we do things. She is passionate about finance and continually aims to deliver above-par standards that streamline the processes at Drivio.

She believes that Drivio is speaking to the future driver and is proud to be part of the team and their expansion into the greater South African region with their revolutionised driver training methods.

Glen Ngunyulu

Support Technician

Glen has a national diploma in Computer Systems Engineering from the Tshwane University of Technology. He maintains the simulators and eLearning content by improving the quality and fixing reported faults. He is very passionate about computers and technology and loves to learn new things.

Glen believes that Drivio can change the way the world experiences driver training and is very proud to be part of the team work at Drivio.

Dhiren Ramadeen

Store Manager (Hatfield)

Dhiren has an overwhelming passion for customer service. He believes that the level of service that a client receives impacts their overall experience of driver training and his aim is to make this stressful time in a person's life enjoyable and easy.

His motto is that good customer service is what keeps a company running and improves growth which is why he ensures that customers entering Drivio gets the best possible service.

Danie Coetzee

Designer

Danie is a designer with a passion for all things visual. He specialises in both static and interactive design and is responsible for the visual driving experience on the Drivio driver simulators. He is very proud to have a direct influence on the people using and interacting with his creations.

He feels very strongly about technological innovation that changes the way people learn to drive. Danie is happy to be in a position where he can bring the future of driving to the public today.

Thapelo Monareng

Junior Driving Instructor

Thapelo is an enthusiastic junior driving instructor with a passion for simulators. He also enjoys instructing and supporting learners on the road and believes that the combination of technology and practice greatly increases learner drivers' abilities. He understands the individual needs of each student that comes to him and ensures that they get the best instruction possible.

Thapelo is a hard worker and a team player with a strong skillset.

Thabo Ramalekana

Driving Instructor

Thabo is an expert Code B driving instructor with a certificate in Advanced Driving. He has a passion for teaching and instruction. He is a very compassionate and patient instructor and has the ability to teach new, commercial, as well as drivers with disabilities. He adapts his teaching methods to the type of driver he encounters in order to ensure that everyone that is trained by him has a great experience and can pass their test the first time.

Thabo is passionate about his students and providing them with the knowledge and skills to master driving.

Jean-Pierre Williamson

Business Development Consultant (Pretoria)

JP has extensive sales experience and comes from a corporate sales background encompassing wide-ranging retail management experience. As the business development consultant, JP is very passionate about sales and growing the business in a meaningful way. From the beginning JP believed so much in both the concept and technology that Drivio offers to the sector. The most exciting aspect is that whilst the client is busy obtaining their learner or driving licence they are doing it in such a way that is fun, safe, interactive and stress free. The innovative simulator technology is out of this world! Managing and growing the Pretoria region as well the Drivio brand is JP’s main objective, and believes that because Drivio is already the market leader the success of the business continues every day.

Christo Badenhorst

Driving Instructor

Christo is a phenomenal Code B instructor that has mastered the art of educating each student in the individual way that the student requires. He finds passion in teaching and he believes every student is different and will do his absolute best to teach them everything about driving, not only to pass the test but to be a safe driver on our dangerous roads in South Africa. He connects with every student and in the end it’s not a student that has successfully passed but more so… a friend.

Craig Sternslow

Business Development Executive

Craig is the newest member to the Drivio team. Craig currently has a Diploma in Marketing and is currently studying a BPhil Honours in Marketing. Craig has extensive experience in the driving industry and corporate environment as well as solid management skills. As the Sandton branch manager and Johannesburg Business Development Consultant his role is to oversee the running of day to day activities in the Sandton branch, making sure our services are provided efficiently and effectively. Craig is passionate about providing individuals with training and businesses with the opportunity to up skill their staff. As a true ambassador of the Drivio concept Craig truly believes in the benefits of the unique concept Drivio has to offer in the driver training industry.

Comfort Nosele

Grade C Instructor

Comfort is the youngest member on our team but don’t let that fool you! He might be young but he is incredibly passionate about life. He loves meeting and interacting with new people on a daily basis. Working at Drivio has offered him the opportunity to do just that, meet new clients and find out what it really is they want to achieve in the driving industry. His job entails guiding clients and taking them through the process of learning how to drive, and ensures that at the end of the day they become professional and proud drivers.

Lorraine Coetzee

Grade B Instructor

Lorraine is a Grade B driving Instructor who has a whopping 14 year outstanding track record of being in the driver training industry. Her broad skills set ranges from skidpan to advanced driving, to defensive driving. She has a strong belief in teaching students exactly how to be a safe driver on our dangerous roads in South Africa. Lorraine believes that Drivio is the leader in the driver training industry and is proud to be part of such an expert and professional. I am a go getter. I strive to encourage our customers to learn hard and to know after my clients’ pass they will be safe road users on our South African roads. Now I am fortunate to be part of a great company as Drivio.

Aadil Govind

Customer Support

Aadil is incredibly experienced in the customer service, retail environment assisting with both the launch of our Moreleta Branch and Sandton Branch. He believes that success is achieved by giving the customer the best possible service they deserve! Aadil believes that Drivio is a fantastic company constantly pushing the boundaries with the way South Africans are learning to drive!
